Safari MMA has partnered up with LEAP and Sport England to bring you a free training programme for the disengaged youth of Milton Keynes and Buckinghamshire, and of course this isn’t fair if you’re not in this area, so we are committed to matching if with 4 weeks free for any youth in the UK.
Lockdown has felt like an extended period of uncertainty, for a lot of teens, a time in which the vortex or ‘sunken place’ that is social media, can really take grasp of the mind. Being home, with not much to do, gives space and rise to a lot of unnecessary negative thinking, it can exacerbate depression and anxiety, or just give space to waste time. Social media, now more than ever, is a cause for social anxiety, due to the restricting conditions of quarantine.
This is a fantastic time to put the phone down and benefit by utilising the fantastic resources out there. Safari MMA is dedicated to creating a space to empower and support our students, to become the best versions of themselves, increasing confidence by learning new skills, creating a sense of discipline, and a place to expand your networks, and meet peers who are like-minded.
With this in mind, we bring to you our Youth Action programme that will offer free online training for 50 teens ages 12- 16 years in Buckinghamshire for 4 weeks. You will have the opportunity to train with Master Karim and go up a few belts, while learning insane Muay Thai moves, all from your bedroom. The first month will be FREE and then a token payment of £8 per month for the last two months. There is also an option for some to take the class on scholarship, do message us for more details. With this programme, students will receive a monthly training worth £60, white belt grading, certificate, and an updated licence worth £30. Classes will start on Tuesday the 28th April 2020, and will be held twice a week on Tuesday and Thursdays at 5pm. This is a fantastic opportunity for us to band together, and help young people to find their way through already difficult times.
